The next day’s event was a round table discussion presided over by Mr. Thanawat of Priceza. The day saw attendees share their ideas about ‘How to reduce a shopping cart abandonment’. While the market leaders primarily discussed and debated to find the best possible way to reduce cart abandonment which is one of the major challenges faced by eCommerce businesses, increasing customer satisfaction and capturing lost revenue were two other topics they gave attention to.

As per most experts, using simple registration forms instead of a lengthy sign up forms can be the key for improving user experience and reducing cart abandonment rate. Another crucial point that came up through the discuss is the need to send reminder emails to customers regarding their abandoned carts. These two methods when used properly can reduce the cart abandonment rate dramatically for all online businesses.

The eCommerce leaders also discussed about relevance of various devices such as desktops, tablets, mobiles and apps in today’s market scenario. The cart abandonment data of 2016 across various devices was compared to find way to reduce the rate too.
